In January oil and gas production units (OGPU) of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) produced 668,274,000 tons oil, or 1.1% less as compared 2005,Trend reports. The largest amount of oil was produced by 28 May OGPU, developing the Guneshli field. In January the figure comprised 475,193,000 tons of oil or 2% more as compared 2005.
The least oil production was observed on the Muradkhanly field. In January the figure made up 2,600 tons, or 0.8% less than 2005.
The largest production lag was registered at Bulla-Daniz OGPU, which produced 6,160 tons of oil, or 8.6% less as compared 2005. The efforts of SOCAR were focused on keeping of the existing production amount.
