An order for pipeline building has been made by Kaspmorneftegasstroi, a special production facility of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR), to the Deepwater Jackets Factory (DJF) named after Heydar Aliyev.
According to the SOCAR, 100 pontoons with 920*10 РјРј diameter and total weight of 100 tons will be built by the DJF.
Taking into consideration an increase of oil and gas production and transportation from Guneshli shallow water field in 2005-2010, a number of oil reservoirs and facilities will be build for transportation of low and high pressure gas to the Neft Dashlari platform.
Pontoons produced by FDF will be used in building the above mentioned pipelines.
Oil and gas are extracted independently by SOCAR from the shallow waters of Guneshli deposit. This is the largest deposit exploited by SOCAR independently.
