Oil&Gas Materials 1 June 2006 15:56 (UTC +04:00)

Azerbaijan currently is not supplying power to Georgia due to lack of necessity in power in Georgia itself, reportedly said Saleh Mamedov, chief engineer of Azenerji AO.

Approximately at 12:30 power supply in Tbilisi and across Eastern Georgia stopped. Subways and other vital communications facilities in Georgian capital were disabled. Georgias power system was suspended due to accident in Zestafoni substation. The accident has been eliminated to date and areas of Eastern Georgia are step-by-step connected to the power sources.
