Ukraine is reportedly suggesting installation of a gas pipeline along the seabed of Black Sea to Crimea in order to transport gas from Caspian region via Azerbaijan, Turkey and Georgia, said Natik Aliyev, Azeri Minister of Industry and Energy. Lithuania is also interested in receiving gas via such pipeline, he outlined.

Alongside, Lithuania is interested in receiving power resources, in particular oil products, from Azerbaijan and other littoral countries. However, this is quite a complicated process, Aliyev said.

Lithuania today is keen in purchasing fuel oil in Azerbaijan. It may get transported via railroad. However, Lithuania shall estimate the route effectiveness as transportation fees promise to be quite high, Aliyev added.

Anistetas Ignotas, deputy Economy Minister of Lithuania, said in the course of Azeri-Lithuanian business-forum in Baku that his country intends to purchase up to 1m of oil products in Azerbaijan.
