In July 2006 Perm engine building complex concluded an agreement on the delivery of three gas turbine rigs GTU-16P for the exploitation in the composition of a compression station Sivas in Turkey, Permskiye Motori holding told Trend.

Compressor station Sivas will become a new structure unit of main gas pipeline Imranli - Kayseri. Three gas pumping aggregates on the base of GTU -16P are intended to increase pressure of natural gas delivered from Iran and in future from Azerbaijan. Thus, Turkey intends to increase gas delivery to the West Europe countries from the blue-fuel rich fields of the Asian region.

Turkey was the first foreign consumer of GTU-16P. So far the Perm gas turbines with such capacity have been exploited both in Russia and Near East. Over 2 years 6 similar cars have successfully pumping gas into the Yamal-Europe gas pipeline at the Krupskaya (Belorus) gas compression station.

GTU-16P with the capacity of 16MW was designed on the base of aviation engine PS-90A. The gas-turbine rigs have been output since 1999 for the exploitation in the composition of new block-assembly gas pumping aggregates of the new generation, as well as reconstruction of existing GPA.

At present 112 gas-turbine rigs GTU-1P is under exploitation at the oil and gas facilities of Russia.
