Operation Company Salyan Oil is nearing completion of the drilling of one of the exploitation wells in offshore Gursangi-Garabagli field, Trend has been informed.
According to the representative of the company, the projected depth of the well is 3200-3500 meters.
In the near future, the Company will commence drilling one more well. According to the information provided by the Company, only 6 wells will be drilled this year, not 8 as planned earlier. Several unforeseen problems occurred causing delays to the project.
It is intended that 8 wells will be drilled in the contractual site. Four wells are planned for exploitation, 2 for the pumping of water and 1 as an appraisal well. The amount of the intended investment totals nearly $50mln. The drilling will be realized by Chinese drilling contractor - Great Wall.
