SOCAR Energy Georgia to Sell Azeri Oil Products to Georgian Markets SOCAR President

Rovnag Abdullayev, the President of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) and SOCAR Energy Georgia, which SOCAR has recently established, will be involved in the establishment of infrastructure in Georgia on the sale of oil products, the construction of petrol stations and medium-scale oil base, Trend reports.

Azerbaijani products comprise 70% of the oil products market in Georgia.

Azerbaijan intends to sell its own oil products in the Country. It is planned to sell petrol, diesel fuel, and LPG, i.e. all products that are produced within the Country.

The SOCAR President stated that SOCAR Energy Georgia documents have been developed. At present the recruitment of specialists is underway. From November the new company will purchase oil products through tenders and sell them to Georgia, he said.

Abdullayev noted that when SOCAR Energy Georgia was established it amalgamated with several Georgian companies with 51% of the company's stock being held by SOCAR.
