Today we are ready to turn to the international standards, but that could affect the activity of some enterprises working in the country. The reason is that the local companies have not such a wide possibilities to launch their production at European standards, Ramiz Hassanov, Director General of the State Agency for Standardization, Metrology, and Patents, said today, Trend reports.
В"Just due to this reason, we have determined the key principle in our activity not to allow the presence of harmful substances for the body of humans in the content of any foods, he said.
Mr. Hassanov said that Research Institute for Standardization, which is to carry out work on determining the expediency of the introduction of European standards in certain industries of the economy of the country, is expected to start its activity soon. That will depend on which sphere is ready to accept the new standards and in which ways.
Today, we consider that the European standards could be applied to the production of nuts, grape, vine making, and juice-making, said the head of the State Agency.
