Last week (18-22 December), the average price on AZERI LT (CIF) oil brand, Azerbaijan sold via the Georgian Ports Supsa and Batumi was $62.37 per barrel, which is by $0.08 per barrel or 0.20% down, versus the average price of the corresponding oil brand fixed in the preceding week, Trend reports. The maximum price on AZERI LT (over 18-22 December) was $63.01 per barrel versus $62.83 per barrel the preceding week. The minimum price was $61.78 per barrel versus $61.84 per barrel the preceding week
On 18-22 November, the average price of the oil brand URAL (EX-NOVO), Azerbaijan sells via the Russian Port of Novorossiysk was $55.13 a barrel which by $1.35 per barrel or by 2.40% down versus the average price on the corresponding oil brand that has been fixed in the preceding week. The maximum price on URAL (18-22 December) was $55.79 a barrel versus $56.93 a barrel the preceding week, the minimum one $54.46 a barrel versus $56.04 a barrel in the preceding week.
In this period the average price on the etalon oil brand Brent (DTD) made up $62.41 per barrel that by $0.01 per barrel or by 0.10% down than the average price on the corresponding oil brand had been fixed in the preceding week. Last week, the maximum price on Brent made up $62.97 a barrel against $62.68 a barrel in the preceding week, the minimum one - $61.71 per barrel against $61.94 per barrel in the preceding week.
The density of Azeri Light is 34.6 degrees by API, the sulfur content is 0.14%. The density of URAL is 30.4-31.85 degrees by API, sulfur content is up to 1.8%. However, during selling this oil brand, its specifications vary depending on prevailing oil brands of high-quality or poor-quality in its content. The density of DTD is 38.3 degrees API, its sulphur content 0.36%.
Since the beginning of 2006 the SOCAR has sold 1,536mln tons of oil from Novorossiysk. Major part of oil was purchased by Glencore (621,000 tons). It is followed by REOC Ltd (452,000 tons, Sun Oil (160,000 tons), Taurus Petroleum (140,000 tons), Vitol (85,000 tons) and Select Energy (78,000 tons).
