Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend , corr. S.Aliyev / "Azerigaz" CJSC is expected to lunch preventive activities inm its gas-holders in April, 2007. Natig Aliyev, Azerbaijan's Industry and Energy Minister, has has said that the injection of gas into them for the winterseason - 2007-2008 are expected to take place in May, 2007.
Last season, over 1 bln. cubic meters of gas was injected into the underwater gas-holders taking into consideration the remaining 200 mln. cubic meters, which had been left from the preceeding season. To date, the underground gasometers holds the gas reserves equal to about 360 mln. cubic meters of gas. This volume is equal to more than 30 percent out of the total volume of the gas injected there.
There are two gas reservoirs in the country - Garadagh and Kalmaz Gas-Holders. Their summary capacity reaches 1-1.1 bln. cubic meters of gas.
