Azerbaijan, Baku / corr Trend I.Alizade / Khalaf Khalafov, the Azerbaijani Foreign Minister and also Azerbaijani President's Special Representative for Caspian Status, stated to a news conference on 22 June that In mid June a delegation of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry will pay a visit to Turkmenistan to discuss the Caspian legal status.
Khalafov noted that Azerbaijan is for multilateral and bilateral talks on the definition of the sea status.
Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan plan to define a medium line in the Caspian and its modification in future is not ruled out. There is the Kapaz field among the Caspian countries with the estimated reserves of 80mln tons. Future development of the field mostly depends on the definition of the Caspian legal status.
