Azerbaijan, Baku / corr Trend S.Aliyev / At present bottom of the well on the Azerbaijani field of 8 Mart, which will be drilled by Azeri Drilling Company Ltd, is approximately 4,881m.
The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan announced on 4 July that work the carried out with deepwater jacket №759 and the project depth of the well is 6,000m. Generally, it is planned to drill 10 wells on this field. Three wells will be drilled from deepwater jackets.
The founders of "Azeri Drilling Company Ltd." JV are SOCAR (35 %), "Target Petroleum Azerbaijan Corporation", registered in Panama (35 %), and "First Drilling Limited" of Scotland (30%).
The Enterprise is engaged in drilling oil and gas wells, including horizontal and special drilling, cementing and fortifying wells, development, overhaul and underground repair activities, geophysical research and perforation activities.
The key task of JV is to carry out drilling work on '8 Mart' and Bulla Daniz fields with the advanced jackets. It is planned to drill approximately eight wells with depths of 6,500m.
