Investments in fixed capital in Kazakhstan grow by 17%

In Kazakhstan, the total investments in fixed capital in 2018 amounted to 11.13 trillion tenge, which is 17.2 percent more than in 2017, Trend reports referring to the Kazakh media.

According to the Statistics Committee of the Kazakh National Economy Ministry, the predominant sources of investment in the reporting period were own funds of economic entities, the volume of which amounted to 8.14 trillion tenge.

In 2018, there was an increase of 10 percent in investments in the purchase of machinery, equipment, vehicles, tools, and their overhaul.

A significant share of investment in fixed capital accounted for mining and quarrying (40.4 percent), real estate operations (12.8 percent) and transport and warehousing (12.7 percent).

The volume of investments of large enterprises in 2018 amounted to 6.1 trillion tenge.
