By Elnur Baghishov – Trend:

The Iranian government is considering various mechanisms and will find new ways for foreign currency payments, Mohammad Nahavandian, Vice President for Economic Affairs, told ILNA, Trend reports.

According to Nahavandian, there is no difference in conducting trade exchanges, including sale of oil with euro, the currencies of other countries or barter.

Nahavandian added that Iran's import demands and its export opportunities are both clear. The execution of this exchange in a foreign currency or otherwise is subject to the exchange itself.

"Which currency the products are exchanged or bartered in does not have any impact on imports and exports," he said.

For example, if Iran needs an equipment, it can allocate foreign currency for its imports or exchange another product with it instead via barter. The payment method does not matter when determining which products are to be imported and which are to be exported, the Vice President said.
