Losses of Azerbaijani bank increases almost 8 times

Azerbaijan’s Access Bank completed the first half of 2019 at a loss of 86.53 million manats, while losses during the first half of last year amounted to 10.89 million manats, Trend reports referring to the bank’s financial report.

The bank’s losses increased by 7.94 times during the aforementioned period. Net income was formed through interest income of 46.1 million manats (an increase of 6.2 percent per year) and non-interest income of 24.05 million manats (an increase of 29.4 million manats).

The interest expenses by the end of June 2019 amounted to 24.3 million manats (a decline of 8.7 percent), while the non-interest expenses amounted to 30.13 million manats (an increase of 2.9 percent).

Operating profit for the year amounted to 15.72 million manats against a loss of 17.87 million manats for the same period of the previous year.

Deductions for creating a special reserve for the compensation for possible losses on assets amounted to102.25 million manats.
