EBRD considers allocation of loan to Georgia

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) is considering a loan of 50 million euro for Georgia's Tbilisi, Trend reports citing the Ministry of Finance of Georgia.

This amount will be intended for upgrade of the Tbilisi public transport.

In particular, additional buses for the capital should be bought for this amount. If funding is approved, Tbilisi will receive the amount in two tranches: first, in the amount of 35 million euros, and then an additional 15 million euros.

The funds will be transferred to the Tbilisi Transport Company.

The amount will be allocated under the "Green City Concept".
