Bank loans in Azerbaijani regions stood at 13.86 billion manats in late August 2019, which is 12.6 percent more compared to the same period of 2018, Trend reports referring to the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA).
According to CBA, loans worth 10.87 billion manats were issued in Baku, which is 4.1 times more than in regions. The loans in national currency in Baku amounted to 6.3 billion manats, or 58.4 percent of the total lending in Baku.
As of late August 2019, the average annual interest rate on loans in Azerbaijan amounted to 11.7 percent, and to 9.8 percent in Baku.
