According to the data for three quarters of 2019, Georgian commercial banks seized property worth 193.3 million lari ($65.4 million) in payment of overdue loans, Trend reports citing National Bank of Georgia.
For the same period of 2018, this figure amounted to 155.3 million lari ($52.5 million).
Most of the property in the reporting period was received by the Bank of Georgia - 83.3 million lari ($28.1 million), while in the same period last year - 62.4 million lari ($21.2 million).
TBC Bank is in the second place; it received movable and immovable property worth 24.4 million lari ($8.25 million) in the third quarter.
Last year, TBC Bank's income for paying overdue loans by property amounted to 26.8 million lari ($9 million).
The third place is occupied by BasisBank - with 12.7 million lari ($4.2 million), whereas last year th sum amounted to 8.9 million lari ($3 million).
The fourth place was taken by VTB Bank with 9.1 million lari ($3 million), while last year this volume amounted to 8.9 million lari ($3 million).
