The Islamic Corporation for the Development of the Private Sector (ICD), a member of the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) group, is ready to expand cooperation with the Rysgal local joint-stock commercial bank, ICD representative Askar Baimuldin said.
Baimuldin made the remark during a meeting in the Turkmen Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, Trend reports on Nov. 20 referring to the Business-Turkmenistan agency.
The main goal of the ICD is to maintain and contribute to the development of the private sector through making investments and funds. In particular, the participants talked about the cooperation with Rysgal bank in the field of banking system development.
The representatives of the corporation also visited the production workshops of Ak Harman and Ak Gaya local companies in Turkmenistan.
ICD has so far transferred about $3.1 billion for the development of the private sector in 54 countries.
The Turkmen Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs unites over 23,000 private businessmen. The representative offices opened in China, the UAE and Austria.
The Union takes an active part in the development of various industries, the creation of innovative industries for the production of goods that are highly competitive in the domestic and foreign markets.
Local businessmen are involved in the fields of trade, catering, agriculture, food industry, textile industry, clothing industry, furniture and footwear production.
The entrepreneurs are expanding the international cooperation, actively working to create joint ventures and attracting investments in the implementation of big projects.
