Banks in Uzbekistan have started offering certain benefits to the borrowers, Trend reports citing the Uzbek media.
Earlier, the Central Bank of Uzbekistan instructed commercial banks to introduce a simplified procedure for considering applications from the public for extension of loan payments.
Uznatsbank announced that for all types of loans issued to individuals, the main debt for April-May-June (unpaid part for March month) of the current year is evenly distributed over the remaining period of repayment schedule.
Uzpromstroybank transferred payments on main debt on loans to individuals (for March, April, May) to June 2020.
Asaka Bank has granted a two-month grace period on loans whose debt does not exceed 100 million soum ($10,462) as of April 1. If the quarantine is extended, clients can apply to the bank for extension of payment delay.
Agrobank announced credit holidays for both individuals and legal entities.
In Turonbank payments for April and May 2020 will be extended for two months from the date of the last repayment of the loan. Only for individuals, whose credit is up to 100 million soums.
Alokabank has started accepting online applications to defer loans to individuals. The maximum extension period is 6 months.
In "Kapitalbank", applications for deferral are accepted, including via email or Telegram. The period of payment deferment for individuals is from March to May 2020 (inclusive), depending on the occurrence of negative consequences on the solvency of the client associated with the quarantine regime.
"Khamkorbank has granted a deferral of payments on loans to individuals until June 1, 2020. Applications are accepted online.
Almost all reported that they will not charge penalties for late payment of interest.
