Azerbaijan improves lending terms for agricultural SMEs

A total of 1,156 loans have been granted to farmers and agricultural enterprises in Azerbaijan, Chairman of the board of the Finex Kredit Non-Bank Credit Organization (NBCO) OJSC Rashad Gasimov told Trend.

The chairman said loans to farmers and agricultural enterprises exceeded the amount of 4.5 million manat ($2.6 million).

“Since 2014, our organization has entered into a partnership agreement with the Agrarian Credit and Development Agency under the Azerbaijani Ministry of Agriculture, and since 2015 we have been working closely with the Entrepreneurship Development Fund. Through this line, Finex Kredit NBCO approved and financed projects of a large number of farmers and entrepreneurs in various regions of the country. The implementation of projects was accompanied by the creation of new jobs. Over the years, entrepreneurs received about 100 soft loans,” Gasimov emphasized.

Gasimov noted that using the finance of Finex Kredit, the organization during its existence issued 1,084 agro loans totaling over 3.5 million manat ($2 million).

“Currently, negotiations are underway to obtain funds for the issuance of soft loans in the amount of 1 million manat ($588,235). A decrease in demand for loans has not been observed for a long time. We have a large and stable differentiated client base, which is growing steadily every year,” he emphasized.

Finex Kredit has been operating since 2013 and builds its activities on the basis of the principles of transparent partnership in accordance with modern international financial standards. Over the years of its activity, the organization is growing steadily, increasing profit every year. New branches are opened in Baku and in the regions. Presently, the organization has 11 points of sale with its head office in Baku.

The geography of the organization covers a large territory of the country. Considering the interests and needs of customers, from 2013 to 2020, regional branches were opened in Baku (three offices), Ganja (two offices), Zagatala, Gabala, Sumgayit, and Khirdalan.

The strategic goal of Finex Kredit NBCO is to become a leading credit organization in Azerbaijan and a leader in the financial services market in its sector.
