Hungary EXIM Bank opening investment line for Georgia

Hungary EXIM Bank is opening a 155-million euros investment line for Georgia, said Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Peter Szijjarto, Trend reports referring to Georgian media.

He made the announcement during his meeting with Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia in Tbilisi on July 6.

"The line of credit will be used by Hungarian businessmen aiming to invest in Georgia," said Szijjarto.

Having expressing hope that the line of credit will be fully utilized, the minister noted a favorable business environment in Georgia.

Hungarian companies are interested to open businesses here, he added.

Gakharia and Szijjarto also discussed opportunities for development of tourism between the two countries and emphasized that lifting travel restrictions should take place gradually and cautiously.

During Szijjarto's meeting with Georgian Foreign Minister David Zalkaliani which also took place on July 6, it was noted that many Hungarians are eager to visit the country.

The parties agreed to create a working group for a better exchange of information on various issues.
