Azerbaijani investment companies' total assets, liabilities decrease

Total assets of eight Azerbaijani investment companies amounted to 55.9 million manats ($32.8 million) in 2019, which is 48.5 percent less compared to 2018, Trend reports citing Baku Stock Exchange (BSE).

Last year, Azfinance and PSG Kapital investment companies have decreased their assets, while other ones have increased.

The total liabilities of investment companies for last year amounted to 42.5 million manats ($25 million), has slumped by 56.9 percent year on year. Three investment institutions - Azfinance, PSG Kapital, and Xalq Kapital, have reduced their liabilities and the rest have increased, said the BSE.

The total balance capital of investment companies for the reporting period amounted to 13.3 million manats ($7.8 million), showing a growth of 35.9 percent over the year. All financial institutions of the country have increased their balance capital.

At the same time, the total authorized capital of investment companies amounted to 8.5 million manats ($5 million) as of January 1, 2020, exceeding the figure for January 1, 2019, by 23.3 percent. Three financial institutions - BTB Capital, Invest-AZ, as well as Plato Capital and Co, increased their authorized capital and kept the rest at the same level.
