Share of Azerbaijani Finance Ministry in IBA's capital rises

The share of Azerbaijani Ministry of Finance in the capital of the country’s largest bank – International Bank of Azerbaijan (IBA) OJSC increased up to 95.59 percent over the first half of 2020, Trend reports citing IBA’s 1H2020 consolidated report.

According to the report, the Finance Ministry’s share in the IBA’s capital was 91.4 percent at the end of 2019.

The share capital of IBA in the reporting period remained unchanged - 1.2 billion manat ($705.8 million).

"As of June 30, 2020, the share of Agrarkredit CJSC in the capital of the IBA is 0.14 percent, which is 0.1 percentage points more compared to 2019. The share of the State Property Service under the Ministry of Economy is 3.93 percent, and of other shareholders - 0.34 percent," said the report.

Thus, the total share of the state in the capital of the IBA reached 99.66 percent, while earlier - 95.29 percent.

The International Bank of Azerbaijan was established in 1992. Currently, IBA has over 800 ATMs, located in various districts of Azerbaijan and over 13,000 POS-terminals in the trade and service enterprises.
