Volume of foreign investments made in Iran's Mazandaran Province revealed

The licenses have been issued for the making of foreign investments worth 558 million in the Mazandaran Province under the current government of Iran (which has been in power since 2013), Deputy Director of the Economic Affairs and Finance Department of Iran's Mazandaran Province, Mehrdad Akbari said, Trend reports citing the department’s website.

Akbari noted that while in total, the licenses have been issued for the making of $640 million worth of foreign investment in the province.

“So far, 21 small and large projects worth $54 million have been implemented in the province with foreign investments. These projects are related to the production of mineral water, flower and ornamental plants and also small-scale power plants,” he added.

The deputy director emphasized that the investors were from Canada, China, Germany, Turkey, Afghanistan and France.

According to official statistics, $23 million worth of foreign investments have been invested on the construction of small-scale power plants in Iran's Mazandaran Province. So far, 3 units of power plant with the capacity of 38 megawatt-hours have been launched and 9 units are under construction.
