The volume of credit investments in Azerbaijan amounted to 14.1 billion manat in 2020, having decreased by 5 percent compared to 2019, Trend reports with reference to the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA).
According to the CBA, a decrease in terms of money made up 743.9 million manat ($437.5 million).
The deposits of the population as of January 1, 2021 are estimated at 8.17 billion manat ($4.8 billion), which in turn is 460 million manat or $270.5 million (5.3 percent) less than in early 2020.
Earlier, the CBA Chairman Elman Rustamov stated that 86.5 percent of all deposits of the population are insured.
