A total of 191 trillion rials (about $4.54 billion) worth of loans were issued to 763 startups in Iran during the first nine months of the current Iranian year (March 20 through December 20, 2020), Trend reports citing Central Bank of Iran (CBI).
According to the report, the amount of loans issued to startups in Iran increased by 128 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year.
“Bank Saderat Iran issued loans worth 35.3 trillion rials (about $840 million), Mellat Bank - 33.2 trillion rials (about $790 million) and the Bank Melli Iran - 30.5 trillion rials (about $726 million) to startups in Iran,” the report said.
