Baku branch of National Bank of Pakistan improves volume of total assets in 2020

BAKU, Azerbaijan, Feb. 10

As of four quarters of 2020, the Baku branch of the National Bank of Pakistan increased total assets by 22.5 percent compared to the same period of 2019, Trend reports citing the bank's balance sheet.

In accordance with the report, total assets increased by 2.3 million manat ($1.3 million) for the year to 12.4 million manat ($7.3 million).

In the structure of assets, the biggest share (55.2 percent) accounted for investments in securities in the amount of 6.9 million manat ($4.05 million), which increased by 29.3 percent compared to 2019.

The bank's loan portfolio accounts for 7.1 percent of total assets and is estimated at 880,000 manat that’s $517,647 (a decline of 2.7 percent).

The correspondent account in the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) accounted for 20.4 percent of assets in the amount of 2.5 million manat ($1.5 million), increasing by 35 percent on an annualized basis.

Cash and cash equivalents account for 1.1 percent of total assets. The volume decreased by 20,600 manat ($12,117) and is equal to 135,000 manat ($79,411).

In the structure of long-term assets for all 12 months of 2020, intangible assets are estimated at 12,750 manat ($7,500) compared to 14,630 manat ($8,605) in 2019 (a decline of 12.85 percent).

Other assets reached 1.5 million manat ($882,352).
