BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 11

By Zeyni Jafarov - Trend:

The insurance fees of Azerbaijan’s Xalq Sigorta insurance company reached 31.2 million manat in 2020, senior specialist of the sales and marketing department of Xalq Sigorta company Latif Zeynalli told Trend.

“The fees increased by 10 percent in 2020 compared to 2019 and an increase in auto insurance was about 18 percent,” Zeynalli added.

“The company's total payments during 2020 amounted to 16.6 million manat while more than 20 percent of car insurance fees were directed to cover them,” specialist said.

“In general, insurance payments for car insurance amounted to about two percent of the total volume,” Zeynalli said. “Proceeding from these indicators, it is possible to conclude that 2020 for Xalq Sigorta ended successfully.”

Zeynalli also stressed that one of the most important issues in the strategy of Xalq Sigorta is to present the preferential programs for some spheres, in particular, for education and health workers.

“So, Xalq Sigorta offers its clients "CASCO Standard" insurance packages and "CASCO Partner" on car insurance,” the specialist said.

“As of the "CASCO Partner" product, employees in the field of education and health care can receive full insurance coverage by paying an insurance premium in the amount of two percent of the market value of the car,” Zeynalli said.

“There is also the possibility of partial payment of fees on both insurance packages,” the specialist said. “As for the automation of processes in Xalq Sigorta, rendering of remote services in many spheres has become a priority in connection with the coronavirus pandemic.”

“The introduction of automation into the company for a number of types of insurance allowed citizens to receive insurance services online without restrictions,” Zeynalli said.

"During the period of its activity, the company has constantly enlightened to form an insurance culture in Azerbaijan and will continue to expand its efforts in this sphere,” the specialist said.

“A striking example is to organize the presentations on the insurance business in a number of educational institutions and implement the practical programs to educate young insurers,” Zeynalli added.

“We consider it a priority to carry out this activity more intensively and to take an innovative approach to our products and services in 2021," the specialist said.
