The National Depository Center (NDC) of Azerbaijan made coupon payments to 783 investors in April 2021, which is over 6 times more compared to March 2021, the NDC told Trend.
As reported, the value of payments amounted to 62.5 million manat ($36.7 million) and $1.3 million.
“Payments in the specified period were carried out on bonds of the Ministry of Finance of Azerbaijan, State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR), Embafinance non-bank credit organization (NBCO), and Ferrum Kapital CJSC factoring company,” the NDC report reads.
In March 2021, the NDC made coupon payments to 118 investors in the amount of 52.4 million manat ($30.8 million) and $22.1 million, the report said.
The report of the NDC also said that a meeting of the Association of Stock Market Participants of Azerbaijan (AFBIA) was held at the NDC in early April 2021.
“During the meeting, proposals on amendments to legislation that can stimulate the development of the securities market in Azerbaijan, settlements on transactions in the secondary market, and the creation of expert groups within the association were discussed," the NDC stated.
