As of June 1, 2021, the assets of the banking system of Uzbekistan amounted to 395 trillion soums ($37.1 billion), which is 23.5 percent more compared to June 1, 2020, Trend reports with reference to UzDaily.uz.
The liabilities amounted to 333.6 trillion soums ($31.4 billion) (an increase of 30.6 percent), the total capital – 61.5 trillion soums ($5.8 billion) (an increase of 13.1 percent).
Currently, more than 56,000 people work in the banking system of Uzbekistan.
Uzbek Kapitalbank still holds the lead on the country’s large banks activity for 2Q2021, having held it since the second quarter of last year.
As of March 1, 2021, the assets of the banking system of Uzbekistan amounted to $35 billion - (an increase compared to March 1, 2020, was 31.3 percent), liabilities – $29 billion (38.3 percent), capital - $5.6 billion (12.4 percent).
