Iran attracts foreign investments in Razavi Khorasan Province

BAKU, Azerbaijan, Aug. 8

About $16.7 million worth of foreign investments was attracted in the Razavi Khorasan Province (northeastern Iran) during the first four months of the current Iranian year (from March 21 through July 22, 2021), Chairman of Industry, Mine and Trade Organization of the Razavi Khorasan Province Javad Khazaei said, Trend reports citing organization.

According to him, 23 plans were approved in this regard. These plans will be in the chemical, textile, electrical, metal and non-metal fields.

The chairman added that the plans will be implemented in Mashhad, Chinaran and Fariman counties of the province.

Khazaei noted that 176 enterprises in Razavi Khorasan Province were licensed for put into operation within the 4 months. A total of 12.9 trillion rials (about $307 million) was spent on these enterprises, and as a result 2,740 people were employed. This is an increase of 15 percent in terms of numbers of enterprises, 99 percent in terms of expenditures and 20 percent in terms of employment, compared to the same period last Iranian year.
