A total of 1.87 million tons of goods worth more than 95.2 trillion rials (about $2.26 billion) were sold at the Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME) in the last Iranian week (September 11 through September 16, 2021), Trend reports citing the IME’s official website.
This is an increase of 11.8 percent in terms of value, and 0.9 percent in terms of volume compared to the preceding Iranian week (September 4 through September 9, 2021).
So, 1.86 million tons of goods worth more than 85.1 trillion rials (about $2.03 billion) were sold at the Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME) in the preceding week.
According to the report, about 1.37 million tons of goods worth about 38.4 trillion rials (about $914 million) were sold in the industrial and mining products section of IME last week.
"About 65,400 tons of steel, 6,520 tons of copper, 4,220 tons of aluminum, 180 tons of molybdenum concentrate, 21 tons of precious metal concentrate, 14,500 tons of zinc soil, 1.02 million tons of cement, 2 kg gold bars, 14,000 tons of sponge iron and 250,000 tons of iron ore were sold in this section," the report said.
In addition, more than 486,000 tons of various oil and petrochemical products worth about 56 trillion rials (about $1.33 billion) were sold in the oil and petrochemical products section of IME last Iranian week, the report said.
According to the report, 246,000 tons of vacuum bottom, 56,000 tons of bitumen, 73,000 tons of polymeric substances, 36,200 tons of chemicals, 58,200 tons of lube cut, 3,310 tons of base oil, and 6,520 tons of sulfur were sold in this section.
Furthermore, 6,070 tons of various products worth 927 billion rials (about $22 million) were sold in the submarket section of the exchange.
