BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 24. The Iranian banks issued loans worth about 1.43 quadrillion rials (about $34 billion) in various economic sectors in the country, during the 1st month of the current Iranian year (March 21 through April 20, 2022) Trend reports via the statistics of the Central Bank of Iran (CBI).
Meanwhile, in the same month of the last Iranian year, the figure stood at 265 trillion rials (about $6.32 billion).
"So, the banks issued about 51.3 trillion rials (about $1.22 billion) worth of loans in the agricultural sector within the mentioned month," the statistics said.
Moreover, the banks issued loans worth about 483 trillion rials (about $11.5 billion) in Iran's industrial and mining sectors over the first month.
According to the statistics, the banks also issued loans worth about 86.7 trillion rials (about $2.06 billion) in Iran's housing and construction sector during the reporting month.
Furthermore, the Iranian banks issued loans worth 125 trillion rials (about $2.96 billion) in the trade sector within the 1st month.
At the same time, about 565 trillion rials (about $13.4 billion) worth of loans were issued in the services sector and 2.42 trillion rials (about $57.6 million) in other unmentioned areas for the first month, the statistics said.
According to the statistics, the loans are provided for the establishment of enterprises and facilities, such as working capital, repair work, development, purchase of personal assets, purchase of apartments, and so on.
