BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 1. According to the results of June 2022, the monetary base in Azerbaijan amounted to 15.6 billion manat ($9.1 billion), which is 5.1 percent or 769.2 million manat ($452.4 million) more than in the previous month, Trend reports citing Central Bank of Azerbaijan Republic (CBAR).
According to CBAR, the monetary base increased by 10.1 percent, or 1.4 billion manat ($823.5 million) on an annual basis.
The monetary base in Azerbaijan amounted to 14.2 billion manat ($8.3 billion) in June 2021.
Monetary base includes cash, free bank and required reserves of commercial banks in circulation.
