BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 15. The value of foreign assets of the Central Bank of Iran (CBI), other Iranian banks and financial institutions amounted to 8.74 quadrillion rials (about $208 billion) at the end of the 7th month of the current Iranian year (October 22, 2022), Trend reports via the statistics of the Central Bank of Iran (CBI).

According to the statistics, this is an increase of 23.7 percent compared to the same period the last Iranian year. So, the figure was 7.07 quadrillion rials (about $168 billion) in the same period in the last Iranian year.

“The value of foreign assets of the CBI amounted to 5.85 quadrillion rials (about $139 billion) at the end of the 7th month, which is an increase of 16.7 percent compared to the same period the last Iranian year. The figure stood at 5 quadrillion rials (about $119 billion) in the same period the last Iranian year,” the statistics said.

Also, the value of foreign assets of other banks and financial institutions in Iran for the reporting period amounted to approximately 2.9 quadrillion rials (about $69 billion), which is an increase of 40.5 percent compared to the same period the last Iranian year.

Meanwhile, in the same period the last Iranian year, this figure was 2.06 quadrillion rials (about $49.1 billion).
