BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 20. Total assets of Azerbaijan’s Xalq Bank increased by 14.78 percent in the fourth quarter of 2022 compared to the same period of 2021, Trend reports citing the bank's balance report.
According to the report, the bank's total assets amounted to 2.68 billion manat ($1.58 billion), up by 345.6 million manat ($203.2 million manat) on an annual basis.
The largest share (64.82 percent) in the structure of assets was the loan portfolio, which grew by 23.71 percent over the year to 1.74 billion manat ($1.02 billion).
About 7.17 percent of Xalq Bank's assets were investments in securities – 192.4 million manat ($113.18 million).
Another nearly 3 percent of the bank’s total assets were cash and its equivalents, which equaled 78.9 million manat ($46.4 million).
Other assets of the bank amounted to 37.5 million manat ($22.06 million) in the fourth quarter of 2022.
