BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 4. Iranian banks issued loans worth 2.32 quadrillion rials (about $55.3 billion) in the country’s trade sector, during the first nine months of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2022 through December 21, 2022), Trend reports via the statistics of the Central Bank of Iran (CBI).

According to the statistics, loans worth approximately 88.7 trillion rials (about $2.11 billion) were issued in connection with the establishment of enterprises and other opportunities in the trade sector in 9 months.

"At the same time, approximately 2.05 quadrillion rials (about $48.8 billion) worth of loans were issued in the trade sector as working capital for the reporting period," the statistics said.

Furthermore, Iranian banks issued loans worth 159 trillion rials (about $3.79 billion) for the development of enterprises and 3.54 trillion rials ($141 million) for self-employment in the trade sector within 9 months.

In addition, 9.6 trillion rials (about $229 million) worth of loans were issued for the purchase of housings, 492 billion rials (about $11.7 million) for repair work, and 6.74 trillion rials (about $161 million) for the purchase of personal assets in the trade sector.

Generally, the Iranian banks issued loans worth 25 quadrillion rials (about $595 billion) in various economic sectors in the country during the first 9 months of the current Iranian year.
