Net profit of Azerbaijan's Kapital Bank increases in 2Q2023

BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 19. Azerbaijan's Kapital Bank OJSC completed the second quarter of 2023 with a net profit of 146.69 million manat ($86.29 million) compared to 127.07 million manat ($74.75 million) in the same period of 2022, Trend reports.

According to the bank's financial report, its net interest profit in the reporting period amounted to 287.44 million manat ($169.08 million). It was formed through interest income of 376.4 million manat ($221.4 million) with an increase of 15.27 percent in a year, as well as interest expenses of 48.35 million manat ($28.4 million).

Furthermore, Kapital Bank's non-interest income stood at 205.8 million manat ($121.06 million) with a growth of 14.46 percent over the year. At the same time, as of June 30, 2023, the bank's non-interest expenses reached 279 million manat ($164 million).

Moreover, the bank's profit before taxes and unforeseen expenses related to banking activities reached 186.1 million manat ($109.4 million), while income tax payments totaled 39.4 million manat ($23.18 million).

Previously, Kapital Bank OJSC completed the first quarter of this year with a net profit of 83.5 million manat ($49.1 million).
