BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 15. Iranian banks issued loans worth approximately 23.7 quadrillion rials (about $564 billion) in various economic sectors in the country in the first seven months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through October 22, 2023), Trend reports.
Distribution of loans for various sectors of Iran's economy:
- Services sector: 10 quadrillion rials (about $239 billion)
- Industrial and mining sectors: 8.53 quadrillion rials (about $203 billion)
- Trade sector: 2.35 quadrillion rials (about $55.8 billion)
- Agriculture sector: 1.49 quadrillion rials (about $35.4 billion)
- Housing and construction sectors: 1.3 quadrillion rials (about $31.1 billion)
- Other areas: 4.26 trillion rials (about $102 million)
The loans are provided for the establishment of enterprises and facilities, such as working capital, repair work, development, the purchase of personal assets, the purchase of apartments, etc.
