BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 10. The meeting of representatives of the Azerbaijan Energy Regulatory Agency (AERA) and the Danish Energy Agency (DEA) has been held, Trend reports via AERA.
The meeting was attended by AERA Chairman of the Board Samir Akhundov, DEA representative Simon Fløe Nielsen, as well as specialists from both sides.
“The parties exchanged views on the integration of renewable energy into the grid and the transition to green energy. In addition, information was provided on relevant electricity market rules in both countries,” the information reads.
To note, Azerbaijan plans to increase the share of renewable energy sources in the energy balance to 30 percent by 2030.
The issue of integration of electricity from renewable energy sources into the general power grid is one of the most important for the successful implementation of green energy plans.
