BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 28. President of COP29 (29th United Nations Climate Change Conference) Mukhtar Babayev has discussed the progress made at the conference during a bilateral meeting with United Nations (UN) Deputy Secretary General Amina Mohammed within the Africa Energy Summit, Trend reports.
The parties emphasized the need for further cross-border collaboration to consolidate the achievements made in Baku.
COP29 held in Azerbaijan was remarkable for the decisions on a new core finance goal of $300 billion that triples the previous $100 billion target, full operationalization of the Loss and Damage Fund, and conclusion of negotiations on high integrity carbon markets under Article 6.
