Azerbaijan, Baku / corr Trend S.Babayeva / Azerbaijan can utilise Latvia's experience with regards to electronic purchases, Ine Gudele, the Latvian Minister for Special Tasks in Electronic Governance, said in Baku.
" Latvia has applied electronic purchases, which saves time and funds for different types of state purchases," Gudele said.
Azerbaijan seriously stated its intention to apply such European principles of state governance. "We all have passed though this process and have great experience. If there is an opportunity to apply the already existing system, it unnecessary to waste time, but to strive forward,' the Latvia minister stressed.
Gudele said that over the past two years information technology has considerably improved in Azerbaijan. "I view with pride the IT development in Azerbaijan," the minister said.
Speaking of possibilities of further cooperation between the two countries the minister said that both sides will agree upon the implementation of joint projects which can be financed by the European funds. "We are interested in developing projects, which could be used in both countries. This is one step further towards closer cooperation," Gudele said.
