Azerbaijan, Baku, 27 March / corr. Trend S. Babayeva/ Azerbaijan and Belarus are developing joint action plan in the field of information and communication technologies for the shortest perspective. The agreement was reached during the visit of Ali Abbasov, the information technology minister of Azerbaijan, to Belarus.
According to Ministry of Communication and Information of Belarus, the cooperation between the countries can be supported by the signing of the inter-government agreement in IT field. Abbasov visited Belarus at the invitation of the IT minister of Belarus Nikolai Penteleya.
Abbasov hold meetings in the Ministry of Communication and Information of Belarus, National Academy of Sciences, Education Ministry and University of Information Science and Radio Engineering.
Abbasov said that he is interested in the cooperation with Belarus in launching of Azerbaijani communication satellite and the construction of fiber-optic line between Western Europe and Central Asia via Azerbaijan.
