Russian CJSC Synterra and PU Aztelekom (the state communication operator) signed the agreement on joint venture establishment rendering telecommunication services for third countries, Russian energy minister Sergei Shmatko said at the press-conference in Baku. Shmatko is c-chairman of Azerbaijani-Russian intergovernmental commission. Its meeting was held in Baku on May 29.
"Presently, Russian company Synterra and Azerbaijani company Aztelekom signed the agreement on joint venture establishment in Baku that will deal with formation of regional telecommunication circle," Shmatko said.
Authorized capital of the new joint venture hits $17 million. The enterprise has been established with share holding of both companies in the amount of 50 percent, Shmatko said.
