Azerbaijan will be represented with a national stand at the ITU Telecom World 2009, which will be held in Geneva (Switzerland) on Oct.5-9, the Azerbaijani Communications & Information Technologies Ministry told Trend .
More than 20 IT projects of public and private sectors will be exhibited in the stand. The recent achievements of the industry, which will be presented, determine largely global trends of its development, the ministry said.
The forum is the largest event in the field of telecommunications and information technologies. The delegation will include representatives of Azerbaijan's IT market, mobile and fixed communications, the postal sector, the company integrators, Internet service providers.
The delegation will be headed by the Communications and Information Technologies Minister, Ali Abbasov.
The exhibition is expected to be attended by approximately 700 companies from 40 countries including 25 national pavilions. The Forum will bring together around 3,000 participants from 90 countries, including 400-450 operators from 70-75 and 2,500 delegates from 90 countries.
