National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan (NASA) has become a full-right member of the Trans-European Research and Education Networking Association (TERENA), NASA Institute of Information Technologies said.
The status of representative of Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan in the TERENA will allow to participate in projects implemented by the European scientific community, one of which is GEANT3, providing a further increase in the capacity of basic fiber-optic network GEANT.
Academic Network of NASA joined the pan-European research network GEANT2 last year.
