A frequency dictionary in the Azerbaijani language was created under the Dilmanc project implemented by the Communications and IT Ministry, the ministry reported on Saturday.
There was held a lingvo-statistical analysis of texts consisting of 50 million word forms while creating the dictionary.
The presence of the e-versions of materials of scientific, artistic, journalistic, official, domestic, and other content in the project base allowed for a comprehensive and reliable analysis in terms of statistical selection with the aim of creating the dictionary.
The dictionary indicates about 12,000 word roots.
The project specialists also work to improve speech recognition system, which will further allow using voice commands to manage e-mail, work with different programs and others. To date, the opportunities of a module, which is capable to collect news from RSS-feeds via voice commands, has already been tested.
The new version of the system is expected to be presented at the 16th Azerbaijan International Telecommunications Exhibition BakuTel-2010.
