Azerbaijani scientists have submitted 30 hi-tech project proposals to participate in the EU Framework Programme for Research and Innovation – Horizon 2020, Tofig Babayev, director of the Regional Information Technologies Academy (RITA), told Trend.

Babayev said the Azerbaijani projects were presented at the ICT Proposers’ Day 2016 conference, which was held Sept. 26-27 in Bratislava, Slovakia.

There are projects of the Institute of Cybernetics, Scientific Research and Training Center for Labor and Social Problems of the State Social Protection Fund, Azerbaijan National Aerospace Agency and Azerbaijan State University of Economics among them.

Earlier, Azerbaijan presented a number of research projects, including the projects on monitoring of the cardiovascular system, development of intellectual information system for monitoring and diagnosis of cases of poisoning by toxic substances, condition monitoring, choosing optimal routes for oil and gas pipelines, and others.
