Azerbaijan’s postal operator Azerpost LLC is buying another batch of Mastercard debit cards, said a message posted on the website of the State Service for Antimonopoly Policy and Protection of Consumer Rights of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Economy Dec. 22.
According to the message, TNR company has been chosen as the supplier of plastic cards with the Pectoral chip module. The contract worth more than 44,000 manats was signed with the company on November 6.
Azerpost LLC renders postal and financial services to the population in Azerbaijan. The company has more than 1,500 branches across the country.
Azerpost LLC started to render financial services in 2012 in line with a license of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan. Azerpost issued over 23,000 active payment cards. Azerpost has 15 ATMs and more than 100 POS-terminals.
